Sport optimisation programme
Strength training isn't just about building muscle—it's your secret weapon for staying in the game. As we age, our bodies become more susceptible to injuries, especially in sports like golf, tennis, cycling, and swimming. That's where a tailored strength training program comes in. By focusing on key muscle groups and improving overall body stability, you'll not only enhance your performance on the green, on the court, in the saddle, or in the pool, but also significantly reduce your risk of injuries that could sideline you for weeks or even months. Our personalized approach targets the specific demands of your favorite activities, helping you maintain the strength, flexibility, and endurance needed to enjoy your passions well into your golden years. Don't let age slow you down—let strength training keep you at the top of your game.

“I was suffering from chronic back pain and had put on weight due to lack of activity and poor diet. I had gotten into a cycle of self doubt and was trying to protect myself from the pain by limiting activity and weight bearing. I was recommended to visit Simon by a few different people, and eventually plucked up the courage to see him. At the time I didn’t have any other goal than to reduce my back pain. Simon has dedicated himself to learning and research, and introduced me to the methods of the world renowned back pain expert, Dr Stuart McGill. Simon puts what he has learnt into practise and was probably the single biggest catalyst in my transformation."

"George was recommended to me five years ago after I had injured my back. He immediately took control of my fitness and curated a program that helped to build my strength and improve my overall form whilst at the same time protecting me from further injury. It has to be said that my back was pretty ruined... George has without doubt built my strength back up from a very low place. He has made sure that my form is absolutely perfect and that I have created discipline in my approach. The biggest change for me has been being able to get back into exercise again and attempt exercises I would never have done."

“It had been 5 years of slow recovery following a double prolapsed disc, a 40th birthday fast approaching and a recommendation from friends that lead me to Metabolic Movement.I’ve never been a gym goer or lifter of weights, but always fit and active. But my back injury, fatherhood, and entering into my late 30’s set me back somewhat!
The biggest surprise has been the gains through simple changes, and by gains I don’t just mean muscle or a better reflection in the mirror. Gains in my other sporting pursuits & general life activities, tangible speed and power improvements I didn’t think I would be making in my 40’s.”

"Middle-aged men who experience a sports-related injury are at a significantly higher risk of rapid weight gain and reduced physical activity levels. The study found that injured men gained an average of 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs) more weight per year compared to their uninjured counterparts, primarily due to enforced inactivity during recovery periods." - British Journal of Sports Medicine
