Client success: Simon Hares



Training consultant and coach Simon runs the busy consultancy SerialTrainer7 and has been coming to Metabolic Movement for five years. Here he tells us about how training with Metabolic Movement has positively impacted his fitness.



Have you always maintained your fitness?

I've been going to a gym since my mid twenties, so kind of late to the fitness party. Doing classes including high impact aerobics, boxing and step classes as well as weight training in the gym.


What made you first get in touch with Metabolic Movement for personal training?

George was recommended to me five years ago after I had injured my back. He immediately took control of my fitness and curated a program that helped to build my strength and improve my overall form whilst at the same time protecting me from further injury. It has to be said that my back was pretty ruined, and needed a lot of work and George has been so patient and supportive in getting me to a place where I can work out easily.


George has without doubt built my strength back up from a very low place. He has made sure that my form is absolutely perfect and that I have created discipline in my approach.


How has regular sessions with George made a difference in your health and wellness?

The biggest change for me has been being able to get back into exercise again and attempt exercises I would never have done. George challenges me to do better everytime and I feel more confident in working my back where the root of my problems stem from. He is truly one in a million and I could not be without him.


What about the future? Have you set any new goals?

My fitness goals are to remain uninjured, to stay trim and build my strength. As a 55 year old man, the six pack is a long way in the past, however strength and overall fitness is more important to me now and I hope to keep working with George for a long time yet.
